Health Legal was established as a result of the health sector indicating it wanted a quality and competitively priced legal service that understood their environment and was able to focus on their unique needs.

The Health Legal team provides compliance, contracting, litigation and medico-legal advisory services.  We are located in Melbourne but provide services throughout Australia.

In the past the team has prepared contracts covering nearly every aspect of a health care provider's activities and has advised on complex and sensitive patient, staff and legislative issues.

Given the extensive experience of the Health Legal team, we can provide quick responses to queries and can take advantage of the precedent contracts that the team have developed.

It is rare for Health Legal to be asked a question that the team members have not considered before. In many cases, queries can be instantly answered over the phone. Similarly, it would be unusual for the team to be asked to draft or review a contract that it has not itself previously prepared.

Health Legal has been ranked number one in Melbourne in Health and Aged Care by Australia's Best Lawyers.  Our Principal, Natalie Franks, has also recently been selected by her peers as one of Australia's Best Lawyers in the specialty of Health and Aged Care, as published in the Australian Financial Review, 12 March 2010.  This is the third consecutive year that Natalie has received this recognition.
